Privacy.
Morning’s day and night practices are designed so your reflections can remain private to the browser you use.
Your writing
Text you enter into Morning is stored locally in your browser so it can remain available while you write. Morning does not include an account system, database, or feature that sends your reflections to the site owner.
When the three closing breaths complete after you choose Begin the day or Settle in for the night, Morning removes that ritual’s reflection text from local browser storage.
Local storage
Morning uses your browser’s local storage to remember day and night writing, prompt selections, your breathing rhythm, and a temporary Morning/Night override. A manual mode choice expires at the next 5 a.m. or 6 p.m. boundary. This information stays with that browser profile unless you clear browser data, use private browsing, change devices or browsers, or the browser removes stored site data.
Third-party services
Morning currently loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That request is made by your browser to Google when the page loads. The site does not currently include advertising, behavioral tracking, session replay, or a third-party analytics service.
Hosting
If Morning is hosted with GitHub Pages, GitHub may process technical information associated with requests to the site as part of operating and securing its service. Morning itself does not use that information to identify visitors.
Changes
If Morning later adds accounts, cloud syncing, analytics, or other services that change how information is handled, this page should be updated before those features are released.
